Hardcover

Hardcover is a reading tracking application that is meant to be a more modern, useful and actively maintained alternative to Goodreads.

And while it is far from perfect, it is certainly an improvement. The main issue, which plagues all alternative book tracking sites, is their library isn’t as extensive. Right now the bulk of their library comes from user migrating their Goodreads libraries into the system. That said, there is a team of librarians (I am one of them) working to flesh out the library and make sure things are linked up correctly.

They even have an API, although I’m not a fan of their choice of using GraphQL.

This isn’t necessarily a substitute for me creating my own tracking tool, but I may be able to leverage Hardcover a bit more than I would have been able to use Goodreads.
